The Blue-Eyed Salaryman: From World Traveller to Lifer at Mitsubishi - Niall Murtagh - 4/5

What is it to work in a big Japanese company ?

This novel tells the everyday life from its most boring parts to the most existing and funny ones. It really achieves the goal of telling the real life of normal (but foreign) salary man without beeing boring or badly written.

It’s interesting ! You discover how is eating, doing meeting, applying rules, … The real job of a salaryman.

The writer must be very good at speaking Japanese. He even writes that it’s make Japanese people somehow unconfortable about his ability at speaking it.

A real book for a real discover

There is no fancy and funny stuff like in Amelie Nothomb amusing but stuppid book. This is a deep dive into a firm with strong values and traditions and way to interact with foreign people.
